Border security is now being tightened and strengthened by a lot of countries all over the world. For this reason, a lot on individuals have raised their voices to sound off about the issue especially in US territories.

As we can see on US immigration news, a lot of people, especially critics think that US government officials and other countries are going overboard with the implementation of tightening and strengthening border security. However, the good side of tightening and strengthening border security is a great way to prevent illegal practices and also terrorism.

Tightening and strengthening of border security will help countries greatly in preventing any illegal practices that are being done by criminals for their personal gain. Also, with this it will prevent any acts of terrorism that may harm the innocent people of these countries. As we all know that the act terrorism is an international crime.

Also one of the most common illegal practices that are being done in other countries and most especially in most of the US territories is illegal immigration. In the US alone hundreds if not thousands of illegal immigrants are infiltrating US soils as said by US immigration news.

It is a fact that US border patrol makes more than million apprehensions of illegal immigrants and illegal aliens every year. This is based form US immigration news. It is said that these illegal immigrants and illegal aliens violate US laws by unlawfully or illegally crossing US borders. Everyone should be aware that such acts are a serious offense and if ever repeated again, it is punishable by law and the violator will be charged of felony.

Although illegal entry or illegal immigration is not a serious crime for other countries, illegal immigration can cause an enormous drain on public funds of every country. With the seminal study of US immigration, the costs of immigration by National Academy of Sciences have discovered that the taxes that are being paid by immigrants do not cover the cost of services received by the said organization.

In other countries, especially in the US, the needs of the countless number of poor and unskilled illegal immigrants that penetrate the country undermine the quality of education, health and other services availed by Americans.

It is not that a country is closing itself to other nationality, but rather it is just security and justness that they impose a strict border security. It can even be considered as a win-win situation for both the foreign national and the country being visited since both can benefit from each other. Border security will help lessen crimes brought by illegal immigration and the ins and outs of illegal matters.
