Squats require a tremendous amount of discipline and willpower to perform them correctly.
If you don't believe me, just perform a set of squats to failure and witness the effects.

The truth is the squat is THE most effective muscle building exercise that will help to induce rapid growth.
No other muscle building exercise compares to a squat when it comes to bulding more size and strength to your lower body; the extreme difficulty of this exercise for muscle building also forces your body to release more anabolic hormones like *** and growth hormone.
The truth is muscle size is added onto your entire upper body as well, thanks to the increased secretion of hormones.
With this muscle building exercise , you will soon achieve a strength gain in almost every other exercise perform do to a a "spillover effect.".
Shortly after I began performing squats to failure, I witnessed an almost overnight increase in the amount that I could bench press-a whopping 20 pounds more.
If you're really serious you should incorporate squatting as your prime muscle building exercise.
Honestly-it works.
It surprises me that too many lifters have not yet experienced the benefits of heavy squatting.
It amazes me how many bodybuilders will come up with practically come up with every excuse to steer clear of the squat rack.
Just to name a few, I've heard things like "I heard they stunt your growth" or "It hurts my knees."
And my response to that is always a big fat:
"No way."
The key to really maximize your total body muscle gains, squats as a muscle building exercise is something you have to do.
Proper Squatting Technique
For safety purposes, many will only perform squats in a power rack or cage.
That way, you make the decision as to the height at which you clear the bar, and you can always drop the bar on the safety pins upon muscle failure.
Your goal should be to set the safety pins just below the depth you are squatting, and the J Hooks should be set at your *** level.
Your head should be pulled back during the squat, with a slight arch in your lower back, and your chest should be flexed.
Whenever you are performing squats, keep your gaze straight ahead and never look up or down; plus, and always avoid leaning too far forward.
Your hands should grip the bar at about the same width as if you were performing a bench press.
Before you raise the weight, put the bar evenly along your traps.
The bar should rest on the lower part of your traps and on your rear delts.
The bar should feel like it's going to slide off.
After you clear the bar take a few steps back before you begin..
But be carefull here because the fact is thatalot of squat injuries occur while backing up, so do only as much as is required.
Place your feet about shoulder width apart and let them point out at about 45-degrees.
Squeeze the bar and take a deep breath and begin squatting.
A proper squat should be as if you're about to sit on a chair.
Make sure that your knees remain in line with your feet and don't bow in.
Then lower your body until your thighs are at least parallel to the ground.
Once you hit bottom position, get right back up.
Do not relax down there for any reason whatsoever.
Push with your legs and back to return to thestarting position as quickly as possible.
Once you are back in the upright position, breathe deeply and perform the next rep until your set is complete.
Closing Thoughts.
Get into the squat rack-it's the best thing you can do for your body.
If you incorporate and perform this lift with respect, you will be surprised at the amazing muscle gains.
Complete 5 sets of 5 to 7 reps once every week.
Do take it serious with this muscle building exercise; and always try to increase the weights and/or reps.
